Hamburger or Hotdog Buns

If you haven't tried making your own hotdog or hamburger buns, you should! They are quite easy and taste infinitely better than anything you buy in the store. This recipe is adapted from here. I double it so that I can make half hotdog and half hamburger. Keep what you don't use in the freezer and they'll defrost great for another meal.

Mix together well:

2/3 C powdered milk
3 1/2 C water
1 C oil
1/2 C sugar
2 tsp salt
8 C flour

Then add:

2-3 more C flour (until the dough cleans the sides of the bowl and doesn't stick to your finger)
2 TB SAF instant yeast (see my note about yeast here)

Form into hamburger or hotdog bun shapes (or a mixture of the two), and let rise for 30-45 min, until about double. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 min. Makes 24 buns.
